Too many times, people start an ambitious plan that is right for someone else, but totally unfeasible for them. They start out hopeful, but end up discouraged. Their mistake was choosing the wrong plan!

Once you’ve narrowed your selection to a final few plans, watch their promo videos, read the sample workouts, and check out the plan’s main page. This is where the intangibles kick in.

Does the program’s coach seem like he or she is talking directly to you? Does it feel like the plan is something you’re willing to commit to—even when it gets tough to keep going?

I have been a subscriber to BodyFit for a few years. I have not found anything that compares to the value it provides for those of us who wish to pursue and enjoy a lifestyle of fitness.

I use the BodyFit app almost every day. It is so easy and, actually, fun to use. The results I enjoy in overall fitness makes it more than worthwhile to spend $89 annually to be a subscriber.

I would much rather invest some money and time in being healthy and fit. It saves me lots of money and time I don’t have to waste from dealing with various kinds of sickness.

If you would like to have 24/7 access to the best fitness programs available, you should give BodyFit a try.

  1. Alyse says:

Great info on Bodyfit! I’m glad you have shared the details about all the different workout plans. There’s something for everybody and I love that it tells you what to do each day. I’m going to give it a try! Thanks so much!

Can you access from a computer or only the app?

  2. Maggie says:

Bodyfit app sounds useful especially since it benefits one’s health. Given the fact that theres so many health challenges associated with aging, bodyfit can really come handy to those who cannot afford to go to the gym facilities. Experts always advice that a sedentary lifestyle is not good for health especially to those in their advanced years. Physical activity is part of a healthy lifestyle. I wonder if this app is strictly for men over 60?

    • Glenn says:

Thank you for your comments, Maggie. The app is for men and women of all ages. And, they have many fitness plans for home workouts. And, you are right. A sedentary lifestyle contributes to a lower quality of life, more disease and a shorter life. With my site, I hope to inform, inspire and motivate people into lives of health and fitness so they can enjoy life more and for longer.

  3. Jason says:

A nice review Glenn, thanks for sharing.

I had been using the Athlean-X program for a couple of years and did find it quite helpful certainly in the start where I was looking to focus on a bit of weight loss as well. The older I get (51 now) the more of a challenge it becomes both physically and mentally.

I’m not the gym type (dead money for me) so given the depth and options that BodyFit seems to cover, I can see some real benefits. I might jump on and give the trail a go and see where it takes me from there.

    All the best – Jason,.

    • Glenn says:

Thanks for the kind comments, Jason. The BodyFit app has a whole bunch of workout plans for home. I think you will be able to find something that fits YOUR goals and desires for a plan. And, you’ll be able to follow and track the plan right on your phone.

      Wishing you the best,

  4. Thabo Khoza says:

Thank you for the review of this app.
I am a fitness enthusiast and I have never really seen this app. It seems very interesting since you can be able to choose a fitness plan which works best for you. Not all apps have this.
    Thank you again.

  5. Ionut says:

    Hi, Glenn,

    Thank you for sharing this.

The level of access to the information we all have nowadays simply doesn’t stop to amaze me.

I wish I had it when I was first starting out with my workouts. It could make my life so much easier back then.

    • Glenn says:

Thanks for your kind comments Lonut. I agree! My workouts are so much more effective today than years ago because I have plans for achieving my personal goals.

  6. Brendaliz says:

My stepfather loves this app. It leaves the thinking behind and lets you step up without the brain work that usually comes with traditional workout routines!
Thank you for spreading information on this great app!

  7. Christine says:

Wow, they have so many plans! You can really narrow down the one plan that fits you. It looks like a great program that has a lot to offer, and I think that the monthly cost is low, it’s very affordable.
A supportive community is as nice bonus, it is always better to start a fitness journey with people who can help you and cheer you on, which will be a constant motivation.
I checked the before and after photos, and the differences are amazing.

    • Glenn says:

Thanks for your kind comments, Christine. I’m glad you saw value in the BodyFit app. If you know anyone looking to get fit or take their fitness to the next level, you can surely refer them. Thanks again.

  8. Andrew says:

You are so right when you say, ‘the best workout plan for you is the one you will complete!’
So many times I have seen people enthusiastically begin an exercise program only to give up after a relatively short time. The problem is that they did not select the right type of exercise, or the right intensity, duration, time of day, etc.
The number of plans provided by BodyFit to address different goals is impressive. It makes choosing a plan that we can stick to that much easier.
The extras, like the articles and guides, as well as the community support, are a huge bonus for anyone who has previously struggled to stay on track with their goals.
89$ a year is a small price to pay to remain healthy and feel, and feeling good about yourself. As you say, the alternative could be spending many times this amount to combat sickness.
This definately sounds like a great value for money product, and i can see why you have given it 10 out of 10.
    Thanks for sharing.

  9. Kenny Lee says:

Seems like a neat little app, and it’s considerably cheaper than hitting the gym. Well, I can’t really hit the gym now as we’re going through another lockdown. Probably, I’ll try it out to shed off some fats in the coming weeks.

    • Glenn says:

Thanks so much for your comments Kenny. The BodyFit app has a lot of home workout plans if you are interested in checking them out. Using the app and the community provides the tools, inspiration and motivation to start and continue a plan that is just right for you.

      Wishing you all the best!

  10. Tom says:

    Hi Glenn,

This is a really informative and insightful article, and I’m really pleased I came across it. Since lockdown, my fitness has dropped quite dramatically and I am guilty of not taking it back up when the restrictions eased. But now in the UK we are going into more strict restrictions so the time to start working out is now, and keep it up at home. I have passed this article on to my Dad and my brother too as they need to do the same as me.

I will let you know how we get on with the app, and if we have any questions or issues then we will get in touch, if that is OK?

Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work.

    All the best,

    • Glenn says:

      Hi Tom,

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. There are many home workout programs in the BodyFit App. Using the app and the community provides the tools, inspiration and motivation to start and continue a plan that is just right for you.

I would love to hear back from you after you have explored the BodyFit app.

  11. Andrey says:

    Dear Glenn
Thank you very much for your fantastic website. It is amazing that you show people where to start and what steps to take towards their healthy living and perfect body. I hope more people will know about your website and follow your guidance.
    Kind regards,

  12. Natalie says:

Hey, thank you for sharing this.

I love things that have free trials and this one is definitely something not to miss out on.

The pricing is quite affordable as well especially if you are planning to work out in the long run!

  13. Katrina Curry says:

This app actually sounds amazing. I know my husband has been trying to get back into shape and while he has a very strenuous day job, he still is always wanting to eat better.

Sounds like this inexpensive app offers a lot for older men. I’ll definitely be having him look into this.

    Thanks for the great information!

    • Glenn says:

      Hi Katrina,

Thank you for your kind comments. The BodyFit App is every bit as applicable for men and women adults of all ages. It also has many workout plans for ‘at home’. That can be especially helpful for anyone who only has the desire, time or availability to workout at home.

There are also many workouts designed specifically for women.

  14. Hannie says:

LOL, your website should be renamed to fitness for men and women over 60, because you often have articles that interest me as well and that suit me. 🙂
This app looks great and why would ‘it’s not free’ be a con? Quality must be paid for, we all like to rewarded for our sincere efforts, don’t we?
Thanks for this enthusiastic review, Glenn.

    • Glenn says:

Hi Hannie – Thanks so much for your kind comments. I’m glad you like the articles. I agree with you that most of the content would be equally as good for women, or, even adults at most any age. I also agree that the price of the BodyFit App is not a negative, only for some people.

  15. Partha Banerjee says:

    Hi Glenn,

I knew from the very second that you mentioned the app was from it would be fantastic.

I cannot even begin to tell you how many articles I have read or how many videos I have watched via

In fact, over the years I have picked out many of their workout programs, followed through on them, and seen some great results.

If I want to know anything about fitness, building muscle, strength, workouts, exercises and nutrition I only ever go to 3 websites, being one of them (T Nation and Muscle & Strength are the other 2 if you’re interested)

I have always done this from my laptop (it never actually occurred to me that they have an app, although I do tend to ignore such things).

I will say that one of the things I’ve always loved about is their exercise video demonstrations.

Normally if you want to learn proper technique for a certain exercise you’ll go to YouTube and then sit through 10 minutes of mindless chatter until you finally get to the exercise being performed.

However, if you go to they get straight to it, no fluff, no incessant talking, straight to their demonstration, and most of their videos aren’t longer than about 20 seconds.

The Bodyfit App gets a definite thumbs up from me Glenn.

Anything to with and you’re onto a winner.

    • Glenn says:

Thanks so much for your comments, Partha. I agree with everything you said. I am quite familiar with T Nation and Muscle & Strength. It sounds like we have a lot in common. Another I like is Athlene-X. is far and away my #1 go-to.

  16. LJ kudos says:

Where do I begin with this one?

This is a great way for people of any age really to get all the information they need to keep fit. With so many options of fitness plans, meal planning and daily videos, you really can’t go wrong with this app.

In all honesty, it’s definitely something I’m going to consider. Great review mate.

    Keep up the good work

    • Glenn says:

Thanks for your comments, LJ. I hope you’ll try the free trial. For many reasons, the BodyFit App helps me take my health, strength and overall fitness to higher levels.

  17. Schalk says:

With over 18 million subscribers it sure sounds popular and at only $89 per year for all it has to offer, it sure sounds like very good value for money. My gym membership costs £64 per month lol.

    • Glenn says:

Thank you for your comments, Schalk. Although there are many at home workout plans available in the BodyFit App, I prefer to workout at the gym. My gym membership is $40/month and it is money well-spent. The BodyFit App helps me get more out of my gym membership

  18. Gareth says:

I’ve been a gym goer for most of my life and I know many exercises and routines. However, even with my experience, if i haven’t planned my routine/session before stepping into the gym, I still get hesitant or uncertain as to my routine. A plan is invaluable and an app like this seems to give all of that in spade. Plus your phone is always with you in the gym, so it’s easy to refer back and stay on track with your session.
Does the app allow you to track your goals too (like set weekly lifting targets, track your personal bests etc.)?

    • Glenn says:

Hi Gareth – Thanks so much for your comments. Yes. You can track goals and PB’s in the app. I’ve also been a gym-goer for many years but I learn a lot through the app. For example, I am working through the 12-week “Back to Fit” plan right now. Every four weeks the sets of exercises change. Yesterday’s session was using 5 sets of 5 exercises. 2 of those exercises I had never done before. It was easy to use the app for a brief video which explained and demonstrated the movements.

I hope you’ll check the app out. I’m confident you’ll find many things that will help you take your strength and fitness to higher levels.

  19. Tyler Clark says:

    Hello Glenn,

I finally came over to take a look at your site and I’m quite impressed!
You put together a ton of info on this app and made it a pretty easy choice for just about anyone, not only men over 60.
It’s abundantly clear that this app does just about anything that any competitor apps would accomplish and more…and at the cost of Netflix with much better results!
Keep up the good work. I’ll definitely be reading more of your stuff.
